Intradiscal Electrothermal Therapy or IDET is a minimally invasive treatment option for patients with low back pain caused by tears or small herniations in the outer wall of the intervertebral disc. Using heat to modify the collagen fibers of the disc, the treatment destroys the pain receptors in the area.
