Q: Will I be pain-free after treatments are complete?
A: Our goal is to reduce your pain as much as possible to allow you to return to your normal activities. Some patients do experience the elimination of pain. In most cases, the patient’s pain is greatly reduced.
Q: Will I be awake for the procedures?
A: You will be awake for your procedures but will be given a light sedative to minimize discomfort.
Q: Will my insurance cover the treatment?
A: We accept all major insurances including Medicare and Workers’ Compensation. In most cases, insurance companies pay for the initial consultation and three treatments.
Q: Can you cure my pain?
A: Very often, yes. Some conditions may not be cured but are able to be controlled such as heart disease, high blood pressure or diabetes.
Q: Am I a candidate for the Pain Clinic?
A: Your referring physician can help you assess if you are a candidate for our services. Refer to our conditions treated page.
Q: How do I become a patient at Matrix Pain Management Center?
A: A physician needs to refer you. Referral forms may be downloaded from our web site.
Q: How soon can I get an appointment?
A: Once we receive the referral with all the appropriate paperwork, you will be scheduled for a consultation within 1-2 weeks.
Q: What can I expect at my first appointment?
A: You will be given verbal instructions by our scheduling staff when your appointment is made. You will be thoroughly evaluated by one of our nurse practitioners. Recommendations will be made as to the appropriate intervention and/or medical management for your individual needs.
