Marcie has many years experience as an RN working in various areas such as emergency medicine and critical care at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, MI. She earned her BSN from the University of Michigan Flint, and her MSN from Saginaw Valley State University. She is board certified as a nurse practitioner with an additional board certification in pain management, which qualifies her to be an expert in this field. She is also certified in acupuncture by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and practices this modality which has been proven to be highly effective in the treatment of pain as well as other health issues.

Marcie is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners, American Society of Pain Management Nurses, the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute, involved in the research projects at Matrix, frequent guest lecturer at conferences, and adjunct faculty in the nursing program at Saginaw Valley State University.
